Oh, I absolutely agree. And physical beauty only goes so far, personality can do a lot to lower (or raise) my perception of someone's physical beauty.
But in absolute terms, if we're talking physical alone, my personal preference is the hourglass over the waif any day. ;) And there's no shame in having personal preferences one way or the other, just so long as you don't let them blind you to a person's other, less attractive (or more attractive) traits.
