Thanks to some digging through my LJ archives, I've suddenly realized that my poor finish-less vibrator is almost four years old. (Dye problems aside, I guess the product itself was pretty good quality.) Normally I wouldn't even bother getting a new one, thanks to Dan Savage I have a worthy cause to donate this one to, and really, it'd be nice to have one that didn't look like the outside had been eaten away by acid.
So, does anyone have any recommendations? I'd prefer something durable but not too expensive, with a decent buzz (but not Hitachi Magic Wand-strong, that's a bit much). And cool-looking if possible. ;)

(Her response, naturally, was "I have a mission for your privates!")

Date: 2008-02-15 09:18 am (UTC)What I actually recommend is a trip to Good Vibrations for hands-on testing of the vibrating merchandise on a visit to SF. If your local store doesn't offer this, you're deprived.
If you haven't tried a coil type yet and favor or might favor point external contact I suggest that you experiment with a Wahl coil (http://www.goodvibes.com/Item--i-1-1-AC-BE02--m-34) type.

Date: 2008-02-16 07:06 pm (UTC)Was hopping across Digg and found a link to this article: 20 toys that don't look like...toys. Not exactly what you had in mind, I know but maybe it'll help you think outside the...er, look at things differently. :/
(This would come up in casual conversation after I break up with Heather. That girl could write an encyclopedia on the topic, I swear.)
