It's a beautiful Saturday morning, with rare sunny weather. I'm sitting here on the couch in my bathrobe in the midst of a rather untidy living room, unwashed dishes in the sink nearby, in somewhat desperate need of a shower, ignoring all of this to read a copy of the strategy guide for a roleplaying game I don't even own yet.

When did I become such a geek?

Untidy living room, unwashed dishes, need a shower... are you sure you didn't become a single man? :)

I dunno. My boyfriend seems to have disappeared this morning...I'm almost afraid to look in my pants. =D

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Elder_Scrolls_IV:_Oblivion). It's a computerized (or in my case, console-based) sandbox RPG of enormous scope - essentially a very well done version of Dungeons and Dragons. The screenshots are absolutely amazing too. I have it on order, but the Amazon box with the strategy guide in it got here first, so I've been reading through it.

On a side note, I think the thickest strategy guide for any RPG I've seen until now was the super-completist get-every-Materia one for Final Fantasy VII - it was about 3/4" thick. The one for Oblivion is more than twice that. It's supposed to be a pretty huge game. So if I suddenly disappear for a month or two, that's probably why. =D
