I'm trying to decide which is worse: A day where a bunch of crappy things happen to you but you're still in a good mood so you can't really call it a crappy day, or a day where nothing particularly bad happens to you but you feel crappy so you overreact to everything and are generally in a horrid mood by the end of the day?

Yeah. Today wasn't a particularly good day, unfortunately.

I did, however, get most of the things that were bothering me worked out. I also got a good amount of housework done, drank half a bottle of whiskey, and took a nap this afternoon (hence the reason I'm actually up past 12:30ish). And for those accusing me of being a lush, that was half of an airplane bottle. 25 mL of whiskey isn't even enough to get *me* drunk. =P So this evening was a little bit better than the day.

I also got some work done on the dress I'm sewing. It's at that really neat stage where it's all coming together, though it's still a long ways from done (the sleeves still need to be sewn and attached, and all the hemming/finishing will need to be done after that). But I do have the bodice and skirt lined, sewn, and put together; I also installed the zipper today, which means it's pretty close to being a fully-functional dress. I tried it on and it fit perfectly, though there are a couple of places with small nips or tucks that shouldn't be there. Not really noticeable, though; the only major mistake I've made had to do with the lining in the bodice. Fortunately, although it's not as pretty as it could be on the inside, it doesn't make any difference to how the outside looks, so I'm not going to worry about it. This is the first really major project I've undertaken in some time, now. (For those wondering what happened to the serving wench outfit I was making, it's sort of on hold - I got the bodice done, but (a) I was missing the eyelets needed to lace it up and (b) I was only doing 1/2" seam allowances instead of 5/8”, meaning that it was just a little too big. I’ve still got the chemise and overskirt, though, so once I get to Juneau I’ll be getting some more fabric (and some eyelets!) and trying again.)

Anyway...yeah. Going to bed now, I think.
