After the requisite bitching about lazy customers who don't take care of DVD's, my coworker Richie grabbed the resurfacing kit to repair some scratches on the surface. The funny part came when, out of curiousity, I grabbed the bottle of "resurfacing fluid" to see what, exactly was in it.
The following is a direct quote from the back of the bottle:
This Resurfacing Fluid" is custom filtered water. While local tap water can usually be substituted, we recommend using Resurfacing Fluid for more consistent results. You may purchase replacement bottles of Resurfacing Fluid from your retailer or directly from Digital Innovations {the makers of the resurfacing kit).
And the real kicker:
This Resurfacing Fluid is completely safe and environmentally friendly. (Obviously they're not aware of the many dangers of Dihydrogen Monoxide...)
I think my faith in humanity has shriveled up just a little bit more. =S
