missroseroseInteresting, how the only time you hear trucks rumbling by at 40 to 50 miles an hour in Barrow is when there's an emergency.
Nothing too serious, fortunately, though it did involve a friend of my mother's and Mella's. Apparently she got into her car, tried to start it, and it started smoking, eventually catching on fire.
Mella works for Barrow Search and Rescue, so she got called in to help. I swear I've never seen someone move so fast as she did the second the call came through on her radio...
It's good to have friends, I guess.
