I'm really liking the "Sandman" series. And I'm not a big one for comic books in general. Probably because I'm a context reader, and therefore tend to miss things when it's only these little blocks of text. But the artwork is interesting (not quite gothic, but definitely not mainstream comic-book style), the story both sufficiently dark and sufficiently intelligent for my tastes, and there are some really nifty lines like that that really make my eyes widen.
Here's hoping that the library has the whole collection...I should really check that.
