Although I use Gmail as a general rule, I keep a Hotmail address active as well, partly because I've had the address for about seven years now and partly because it's useful for things like making online orders and such - I have a place to store receipts where they won't clutter up my usual inbox (and where I don't have to worry about the address being sold to spammers). Naturally, I've told Microsoft not to send me any special offers or what have you, since I never read them anyway. So I was a bit surprised to see that I had an email from the Windows Live Team.
The great bit? It was an email requesting that I opt back in so they could start sending me special offers again.
So...where do I opt-out of the opt-back-in requests?
