Couldn't get my hair to cooperate this morning, so I combed it back and hoped for the best. Needless to say, "the best" is not happening.
Came in to work a bit early and found both my usual work-spots covered in new inventory that'll need categorizing and tagging and entering. Plus, someone had thrown an egg at the building, so the sidewalk was covered in yuck as well.
Not as post-yoga sore as last week (thanks, epsom salts!), but still sore, especially around the base of my neck and shoulders. Which, incidentally, are all the muscles I use when sitting at a desk and typing, ergonomics be damned.
And now C's eyeing me and asking questions about whether I'm available to work this weekend. Which I technically am, but really wouldn't be my first choice. Given that she hasn't had a vacation (or even a proper weekend) in months, though, I don't like refusing her. (And the truth is we can use the cash for this month. Yay overspending.)
Oh yeah, and a package that's supposed to be in my mailbox today wasn't, likely due to UPS' continual insistence (against multiple orders from multiple merchants with my new shipping address) that I still live in Sierra Vista. Which means a headache on the phone for either me or the friend who ordered it.
This has "long damn day" written all over it in bright purple crayon.
(But at least I'm going to get to have lunch with some friends I see far too seldom. So chalk one up in the "positives" column. Even if I am self-conscious about my hair.)
