missroserose: (Thoughtful)
So I wake up kind of groggy this morning (sleep schedule still readjusting, and later-night rehearsals aren't helping much). Not a big deal, really, I get up and head to work. Unfortunately, all the techs are back from vacation so there's nowhere to park, and while I'm maneuvering through the lot I end up backing into somebody's van. Also not really a big deal - didn't end up being any noticeable damage to the van, and the nice thing about having a 10-year-old car is that nobody'll notice a small dent here and there. I end up parking next door, come into the office, and find out that the heating system is apparently not working, and it's about 60 degrees in the office. Lovely. I check my email and find that I've got rehearsal until 11 tonight...unsurprising, given that opening night is tomorrow, but it's not going to do much for my sleep schedule.

And the temperature keeps dropping. It's about 55 degrees now...supposedly our landlord's working on the problem, but if it gets much colder I might just take the cordless phone out to my car and sit out there with the heater running, even though I hate using the gas. Maybe I can get someone to reimburse me. :)

On the plus side, I got a hug from Brian when he stopped in between jobs, which made me feel a bit better. And I just had someone named "Brook Algae" call me. That's got to be one of the more awesome names I've heard.

At least the morning will be over in a couple of hours...

Space heaters - especially oscillating ones - are marvelous, marvelous inventions.

Of course now, people are going to expect me to do some actual work...
