These are a few of my favorite things...
Apr. 24th, 2004 03:08 pmA nice laid-back morning, some time with the boyfriend, a hash brown and cup of strong coffee for breakfast/lunch around 11:30, use of a car until Thursday, six hours of time where I get paid for doing almost nothing (though I'll probably be doing homework anyway), plans to go dancing tonight and then get out to Ryan's cabin and play Playstation games with him and Becky, slight light-headedness from lack of food, extreme alertness due to caffiene intake, day off tomorrow...
Yeah, I'm feeling much better today. =)
Saw Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind again with Ryan last night, and I have to say that it holds up just as well on the second viewing - perhaps better, since you know how it goes chronologically. I have to commend Charlie Kaufman, as well as the director, for that - movies that aren't arranged in chronological order often are much harder to sort out. Of course, some directors do that intentionally...*cough*DavidLynch*cough*
Am learning a new song - "Maybe This Time," from the musical Cabaret. I already learned the title piece, "Life is a Cabaret," but it needs practice. Well, all my singing needs practice. And training. But I figure it's good to know a few more songs than I know now. And I can sing while I'm walking the trail to Ryan's cabin - no one there to be bothered except the bears. And Ryan, who's tone-deaf anyway and therefore doesn't care if I miss the notes. =)
Ah, well. Even if I never make it as a Broadway star, I'm at least having fun singing the songs...
