Thane, our "serious" librarian (i.e. he's been here a long time and therefore takes his job somewhat more seriously than the rest of us) came by the circulation desk just now. When he saw one of my coworkers standing near me, he held up this copy of The Economist and asked us, "What does Bush's expression remind you of?"

We gave the usual answers..."A monkey? An orangutan?"

His reply: "...a sphincter."
