missroseroseGrrr. Psychology term paper done, but I still have a speech to write and practice, an English paper to research and write, a portfolio to put together, a Psych final to study for, and a driver's license to (hopefully) get. No wonder I've started reading fanfic again.
Speech is what I need to work on tonight, but it's really not coming to me. Which is odd, considering that it's a persuasive speech. I'm normally a very opinionated (and often persuasive) person, but for some reason, I can't even settle on a topic for very long, let alone write an actual speech...
Couple of plus sides, though. The person from the NORC (can't recall what it stands for, but it's part of the Bureau of Labor Statistics) is coming to do my annual survey. Yep, I've been a statistic for the last five years or so, bought and paid for (it's usually only something like $10 for an hour's interview, but it's still something). Most of the questions are boring stuff about my living situation and my family and what jobs I've held over the past year, but for some reason they want to know about my sex life (usually the straightforward how many lovers, how many times). This was a pretty boring section until a couple of years ago, and all of a sudden I've had to start estimating (on the second count at least). I've hit a new record for number of people this year, too - two one night stands with friends, one short-term boyfriend/companion, and two that I'd actually call lovers. Five in one year. Fairly conservative, given my upbringing and political leanings, but still nothing to sneeze at. *wonders if she qualifies as a slut yet*
Other good thing - finally got registration done. General Astronomy, Survey of Modern British Literature, and Creative Writing. Plus Ballroom Dance just for fun...I'll have to see if I can get Ryan to sign up, too. And it's looking like I'll have my favorite coworker in the Brit Lit class, which will also be cool. I guess I'll see how it all works out...
