Okay, I'm seriously selling my car now. Really. I mean it this time.

See, I've even got a craigslist ad up for it and everything.

Seriously, I love this car, but if we can avoid shipping two cars south I'd far prefer to do so. If you know anybody local who'd love a reliable little grocery-getter that's also way cute and fun to drive, let me know - I'm asking $8500 (the Kelley Blue Book is over $10,000) but I'm willing to bargain.

It's all winterized to be plugged in and all, right?

*having vague thoughts*

Actually, it hasn't been yet - the winters here aren't usually anywhere near as harsh as they are in Fairbanks. That said, I know a good mechanic in town who could install an engine block heater pretty easily, I think.

:(
surprisingly awesome car for not being turbocharged. Sure you can't take it with?

Just clicked linky. Damn. Nice photo. :)

Heh, thank the photographer for that one. :) It is a nice car, but there's no reason I can't get another one down south. Or possibly a convertible of some sort.

Incidentally, that pothole you ran over at 55 mph damaged the tire. Not enough to make it undriveable, but enough that it'll need new ones in the next six months or so. I'd be more pissed if they weren't already three years old. :)

You mean the pothole that I was whiteknuckling after hitting because I thought the tire was about to blow out? :) No surprise, although not like you haven't hit potholes at that speed - just none I've been around for that have been that voluminous.

Oy, don't make this about me. I'm working up a good head of steam to be pissed at you, dammit.

Pssh go hit a deer or three. Far tastier than my tears. ;)

I wish I could buy it! It's perfect for what I need a vehicle for as far as running around doing work stuff. I love my B.A.T. but it's such a gas hog and a pickup is not nearly as handy as it sounds when I haul around computers and cables as opposed to firewood or heavy equpment, etc. I wind up having to take Joel's carseat out of the back seat and rearranging and blah blah blah and I sometimes really miss the back hatch storage of the Blazer and Taurus. The gas milage of your car gave me a greenwoody. I even have the money, but having 3 vehicles is just not okay in our current situation. sigh.

Sounds like you have a good lead though.. good luck :)

Aww, I would love to sell it to you too - I know it'd be going to a good home. Well, on the off chance you sell your BAT to somebody (it is PFD season, after all) give me a call. :)
