It's Only A Paper Rose

Yeah, I admit that I have something of a twitch reaction to literally anything that states "men are this way and women are that way!" Maybe it's because I tend to hang out with folks who actively reject a lot of gendered socialization, but so much of what people claim is innate reads to me as environmentally induced. In fairness, she suggests that it *is* socialization as a function of differing biology, but I strongly suspect that varies between family environments - the fact is, our culture is kinda screwed up about sex, so we all are too, haha.
