In Barrow I was known to douse our toilets with blessed bath salts - but that was mostly to take care of the fact that the vent pipes froze over when it was below 40 degrees below zero. The salts took care of the breeding bacteria when the water refused to completely refresh due to the blocked vents. Still, blessed bath salts would keep away evil spirits of every kind and nature!
