I remember reading some article on how everyone should cut back on air travel because it contributes the most to carbon dioxide emissions, and it was talking in fairly harsh tones about Alaskans, "the flyingest people in the US", and I was thinking "Have you ever been here? It's eight hours between our two largest cities. Half our towns don't even have roads, fer chrissakes! Alaska Airlines doesn't exist because flying is a luxury here!"
